Who we are
The KCHN Tattoos ("KCHN", "we", "us") is a tattoo studio at 240 Alton Towers Cir, Unit A4, Scarborough, Ontario M1V 4P2. This policy explains what personal information we collect through thekchntattoos.ca, our consultation form, text messages and in the studio, and how we use and protect it.
We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect
Consultation form: your name, phone number, email address, the style, size and placement of the tattoo you want, a description of your idea, your preferred contact method, and any reference pictures you choose to upload.
When you contact us: anything you share by phone, text, email or social media, such as messages, photos and appointment details.
In the studio: the information on your consent and release form, which can include your date of birth, government ID to confirm you are of age, and health details that affect tattooing, such as allergies, medications or skin conditions.
Website use: basic technical data such as your device, browser, pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar tools.

How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, plan your design, give you a quote, book and confirm appointments, send reminders and aftercare instructions, keep the records required for safe tattooing, and improve our website and service.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Text messages and email
If you give us your phone number on the consultation form, we may text you about your enquiry and appointment. Checking the consent box on the form is optional and is not a condition of booking. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.

Who we share it with
We share information only with trusted service providers that help us run the studio, and only as needed for that purpose. These include our website host, our customer messaging and booking platform, and analytics and mapping tools from Google and Microsoft. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example to public health authorities.

Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Embedded content such as Google Maps and Instagram may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Photos of your tattoo
With your permission, we may photograph or film your finished tattoo and share it in our portfolio and on social media. We will not show your face or identify you without your consent, and you can ask us to remove a post at any time.

How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep consultation details for as long as needed to respond and plan your tattoo, and studio records for as long as health regulations and the law require. We protect your information with reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards, and limit access to the KCHN team members who need it.

Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it, subject to legal and health record requirements. To make a request, email info@thekchntattoos.ca or call (289) 301-3034 and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Age
Our services and consultation form are for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the date it was last updated.
